Puppy after a long time
We couldn't be happier with the service we have received from Dee & Positive Response. It has been such a long time since we had our last pup and training has come such a long way since then. We found the classes were fun and informative, as well as a great opportunity for our pup to socialise with other dogs in a controlled environment. The support notes we received were a great bonus too, and this has helped us continue the training at home. We got so much from the first course we did, we decided to continue with a second course. Dee knows her subject well and was also a great support to us during the trying time of puppy behaviour! We recommend Dee & Positve Response very highly.

A Biting Puppy is never much fun
Enrolled in Puppy Pre-School with Dee @ Positive Response for our new puppy Bailey, we were struggling to stop the biting. It had started with typical puppy mouthing but quickly escalated to actual biting. We where concerned as Bailey will be a large dog when fully grown so we turned to Dee for help. A home visit was organised to assess Bailey in her own environment. Dee was able to give us some exercises on how best to stop the biting, and with ongoing persistence it has worked. While Dee was at our home she also noticed that we had accidently taught Bailey some bad habits, so having Dee on site we where also able to address these small issues before they escalated into major ones. Bailey is still a puppy in training and will be for some time, but with the training that both Bailey and I have received from Dee and her team I believe we will achieve the happy family dog we wish to share our lives with.
Thanks to Dee and her lovely team.

Energy RE -Channelled For Roy
Roy our energetic and extremely excitable kelpie x cattle dog first started training with Dee at 12 weeks old. Dee has taught us so many things, in particular what to do when he gets over excited and jumps up, and the importance of "time out". We have learnt other useful techniques to keep Roy occupied when we are not home such as "scatter feeding". Roy is currently continuing training in Canine College 2 to improve and continue to learn as we plan to have him around for a long time as part of our family! He is a fun dog and is well on his way to becoming a well behaved one.
Thanks so much Dee for your guidance in teaching us, so we can teach Roy!
Ed note:
Roy is one of our many puppies who has advanced from Puppy class, through to Advanced Puppy and onto Canine College 2. Keep up the excellent work.
Blue Ribbon Winner - Deeds steals the show.
As a breeder and exhibitor of British Bulldogs, I have always trained my puppies from 8 weeks of age, that is until I had Deeds. Deeds was shy to say the least, she was socialised well with our other bulldogs but did not mix well with other breeds. I persevered with her until she was nearly 4 months old and then I called in the experts. Dee Scott at Positive Response Training saw her anxiety straight away (she would not walk on a lead) and worked with her until she came out of her shell and responded to commands and other dogs around her. By week three she was walking on a lead and not showing any sign of nervousness or anxiety. The saturday of week 3 puppy school was her first day in the ring and she was awarded 1st place, beating 25 other puppies. Thanks Dee and the staff at Positive response training, not only did you train my dog, you have trained me!!!!.

Border Collie Pup Gets Help
We have a 14 week old Border Collie, who is very active and needs a lot of physical and mental stimulation. Positive Response training has helped with great idea's on how to keep our dog stimulated, calm our dog and showed us how to get the right behaviour. My children, 5 and 6 years old, both benefited as Dee included them in the training and they now have a better understanding of how to behave around dogs and what their dog can do. I thank Positive Response for their great support and excellent training!"

Max Jacobson
I would just like to thank you for running such a great service. We learnt so much from your classes. I know that if we hadn't attended Puppy Training Max would be a real handful by now (because he was already starting to get out of control before we started the classes), but having received the appropriate training Max is a real pleasure to live with. Puppy Training should be compulsory for all pet owners.
Yana our fun loving Doberman
When I first took my Doberman puppy to Positive Response Dog Training at 12 week of age, little did I know that a short 8 weeks later she would be a joy to walk with loose lead heeling. Her sit and stay is great and she responds brilliantly to all ot
her commands. I would not hesitate to recommend Positive Response to every dog owner. Dee is just brilliant and really understands the dogs and makes the maze of pet ownership a very enjoyable experience. It should be compulsory for every puppy and pet owner to attend PP and PP Advanced.
Thanks for everything Dee !!!!
Bonnie
Just wanted to say a big thank you, for everything that Bonnie and I learned in puppy school. In the beginning, I was just happy to teach my puppy a few basic commands, but now I feel confident to take her to the next level. In just a few short weeks, you have shown us how to turn our pups into very manageable little family assets.
Thank you Dee, we have enjoyed your classes so much and we can't wait for next year.Kind Regards, Sue Kirk and Bonnie
Cavanagh Family, Birkdale
Thank you Dee for starting our puppy Bessi on the road to being a truly well behaved, happy and well adjusted member of the family. We really appreciated you allowing our children to come along to the puppy preschool lessons. As we have never owned a dog before, the information and understanding that the children (and the puppy) learned from participating in the classes was truly invaluable
I'm not sure who you trained better - the puppy, or the children!
Punky - Positve Training wins for the whole family
After having to say goodbye to one of my dogs after 14years, my Husband and Daughter gave me a new puppy for Easter, a large breed Rotti x Bullmastiff. My first thought was how am I ever going to handle such a breed when she grows up (as we are not young and all the children are grown up). The Redland Shire Council gave me Dee's contact number and I enrolled Punky, my husband Ted & myself into Dee's puppy classes.
We have always owned 2 dogs and like most dogs owners you think you know it all. Having been taught old school stuff like being tuff until the lesson of sit, drop and stay get a response or like my husband, raise your voice so the neighbours know the dog won't sit or come when called, I knew we needed help badly.
Well from my point of view, the classes are very educational to both puppy and owner. Dee and Amy in 4 weeks have taught all three of us that all things are possible by hand signals and practice in a quiet and enjoyable manner.
There are many things that Punky needs to learn as she is only 18 weeks and still bit naughty around our older dog Abbey, so we are looking forward to doing more of Dee's classes, and watching Punky grow into a well behaved large breed dog of 50-60k, that can be walked down the street and be social with other dogs and people.
I would recommend Dee andteam to anyone who is interested in becoming a smarter dog owner.
Thank you Dee & Amy

The Read's Story
Hi we are two Siberian Huskies named Keela and Tikanni and we met the lady with the devon treats (Dee Scott) on our first day of school. We slept a lot while Mum and Dad learnt how to teach us to behave. During our schooling we learnt all sorts of things, like to come when our parents call us in from outside and not to talk when it is early on a weekend. We also learnt to sit, laydown, roll over and most importantly to shake paws with people we meet. We love going to the park, socialising and playing with our dog friends, but when our parents call us we go straight to the fence to go home. When we go for walks we stay by our parents side and dont run off in front. This makes our walks enjoyable for all of us. We go to the Beach in Cleveland, we love that the best and swim out with Dad while Mum stays in the shallows. People say we are hard to train and we would run off at any opportunity. Well we do as we are told as our parents say - Thanks to Dee.
We tell all the dogs at the park about you and we hope to see you again soon.
Harriet the amazing pug owned by Brenda Hardie
Just wanted to say a big "thank you" for your help regarding the education and training of my precious pug, Harriet. She really enjoys the activities and we have a lot of fun.
Note from Ed. Harriet is now nearly three, trains in our lifestyle classes and is one of the most educated pugs in the redlands. She also lives with a new friend, Holly who is doing just as well.
No limits for Skye - Tracy Cumbus
I would like to thank Dee for educating me about puppies/dogs, how they learn and how we can better communicate with them. I have a gorgeous Golden Retriever pup Skye who just wanted to play before we went to Puppy Preschool but now she has so much confidence and is eager to learn and has picked everything up so easily. Both Skye and I have benefited from Dee's training and I am even starting to teach my older German Shepard new tricks! Thanks Dee
