Premium Puppy
Statistics show us that puppies who receive coaching and socialisation on a regular basis from the imprinting age (8 weeks onwards) to at least the one year age mark, have a head start in life schooling. They learn coping mechanisms, become less stressed and more confident, well adjusted dogs who are treasured family members and can be taken anywhere in the community.
This course is orientated around the whole family and helps you and your pup through the early learning stages of development, coaching you to help your puppy to behave appropriately within the home and around family. The program establishes the groundwork for socialising your puppy and introducing it to new environments. Utilising some gym equipment, we build confidence in different floor surfaces, playing, walking and learning.
Our course is designed by specialised behavioural trainers with years of experience and based on the latest up to date scientific data available. The program in place is unique in that not only is it based on proven modern gentle methods, but has a high success rate and is constantly reviewed to ensure you and your family recieve a premium service.
It is NOT too early to get your puppy in for schooling from 8 weeks of age. We work with the latest scientific data available throughout the world and consult with behaviouralists and other specialists. We minimise the risk of infectious disease and coach you, the general public on understanding disease vs socialisation. Both are important and what people don't realise is that Parvo influenza (the virus that concerns us the most) can be carried in off the street on your shoes and can live for 36 hours. So wrapping your puppy up in cotton wool and not getting it out before it's fully vaccinated only leads to social misfits and heartache for the family attempting to cope with an out of control undersocialised juvenile. We recommend your puppy should be mixing with well socialised vaccinated older dogs, visit friends for barbeques, visit places like the Cleveland Pet Cafe, have car rides but NOT dog parks or high dog traffic areas. These areas are out of your control in minimising risk as unvaccinated dogs may frequent both these areas.
Course Information
- Suitable for puppies aged between 8-16 weeks
- Four week course
- 5 hours of tuition - each class goes for one hour and 15 minutes per week
- Nipping/ bititng/jumping/digging - all aspects of behavioural issues
- Foundation learning for all commands eg. sit/drop/come when called
- When 'NO' just does not work, how to speak dog, communication.
- Health and nutrition
- Socialisation around other pets and environments
- Caters for whole families (see our information sheet for very young children)
