Enroll NowOur fabulous lifestyle here in Brisbane gives us much in the way of off leash areas to take our dogs to. Teaching your dog that lead or no lead, your dog CHOOSES to remain close to you is a life skill and a MUST.

Dog Award Eligible CourseThis class is suitable for dogs who have completed Premium Advanced Puppy, Canine College 1 and preferably Canine College 2, however that is not essential. People in Life Style Classes are suitable for this course. People from other training centres are also invited to attend and we can arrange a FREE half hour consultaton to assess you and your dog. Class sizes are small to allow for individual attention.

This course has been designed to help owners step up their dog's training, remove training equipment such as halters and harnesses, teach their pet to connect and work with them when they are off lead, and to have full control in an unleashed area.

This course also prepares you and your dog for other activities. Advanced Fungility classes where you have full control of your dog off lead while you race through an agility course is just one of them. Perhaps you would like to trial your dog in obedience competitions, maybe join a luring or flyball club or join pets as therapy groups. Many of our clients have gone on to compete in the above sports and we have Pets as Therapy dogs visiting our hospitals and old peoples homes.

To maximise your dog's potential and get it working off lead, it is imperative to train on a daily basis. Not every dog will be able to come off leash immediately but you will be well on your way so long as you put in the work required.

 

Course Information

  1. 5 week (5 hour) course all with your dogs
  2. Basic principles of off lead work
  3. Extension and proofing of existing exercises
  4. Teaching distance work using verbal and non verbal commands 
  5. Working with normal distractions in everyday life
  6. Life skills include learning reward ration schedules
  7. Use of some agility equipment off lead to extend control.

Course Cost $225 including GST OR $205 including GST PRE-PAID. (To take ADVANTAGE of our discount, course MUST be paid in full, minimum 3 working days before course start date)
