Book a Class

How do I book into a class?
  • There is a maximum of eight dogs per class, so pre-booking is essential.
  • Use our online form to book a class - click here.
  • Booking forms are also available from the vet clinics or can be downloaded from here.
  • Cash or cheque payments are accepted (credit card or EFTPOS facilities are not available but you can contact use for direct debit).
  • Leave completed forms and payment in a sealed envelope at Redlands Vet Clinic, Boundary Road, Thornlands or Raby Bay Vet Surgery, Shore St, Cleveland (please make your cheque payable to Positive Response Dog Training).

  • Once you have booked and paid, confirmation will be made via email or phone.
Note: You must present your dog’s vaccination card to your trainer on the first night.

What do I need to bring to class?

Once you are registered, payment must be completed prior to classes commencing.

Credit card and EFTPOS facilities are not available). 

  • Follow your course syllabus for puppies or adult dogs
  • Bring your dog, flat collar and lead or suitable training equipment.

Note: Training is ongoing each week. In bad weather training is conducted indoors in our clinics, or under cover in our horse hospital at Redlands Vet Clinic.

Ground Rules

The following ground rules apply to participants of all courses and classes:

  • Vaccination certificates must be produced on enrolment or the first class.
  • All owners/handlers must sign the register at each class.
  • Canine Lifestyle Class participants must produce cards to be signed by the trainer each week.
  • Wear comfortable clothes (we often get down on the ground with our dogs) and non-slip shoes (definitely no thongs).
  • Please be on time for class and switch off mobile phones.
  • Children are always welcome but must be supervised and capable of sitting quietly.
  • Dog equipment consists of flat collars and leads, training halters or harnesses.
  • NO check chains or chain leads are permitted.
  • Dogs must be on a lead at all times unless the trainer has requested otherwise.
  • Please allow space between you and the next do.  Not all dogs enjoy up close and personal contact.
  • No harsh handling, use of bad language or hitting animals is permitted.
  • Owners must pick up after their dog;  bags and pooper scoops are available.
  • Bring your dog’s water bowl if preferred.
  • Sick animals or bitches in season must not be bought to class.
  • Please don’t pat the horses unless permission is gained from vet staff.
  • Contact your trainer if you are unable to make your class; and lastly,
  • Enjoy your class and have fun with your dogs.
